The Winter Bohemian
free spirit; noun: a person with a highly individual or unique attitude, lifestyle, or imagination; nonconformist.
A free spirit is someone with an acute sense of adventure and a vastly nurtured imagination; someone who dreams of traveling to the farthest corners of the earth, to the places never intended to be found; someone who doesn’t live in fear of being different than what’s considered “normal”; someone who follows their heart and engages their mind, waking each day with the urge to explore and discover their complex and simple curiosities.
A being of this nature is someone who lives a bohemian lifestyle, confidently acting upon the undeniable desire to learn everything possible about the world. To go to museums and restaurants and parks. To learn about culture and language, and people and places. This bohemian, free spirit is a creative and an adventurer, a nomadic soul, you could say, someone whose wardrobe and lifestyle are somewhat of a canvas for exploration and experimentation.
Although the word “bohemian” often makes the mind jump to flowy skirts and long dresses in mix matched patterns and contrasting colors, the "winter bohemian" is somewhat of a different being. Of course, the nomadic soul wouldn’t be able to fulfill it’s desire for adventure and discovery during the colder months of the year, if there wasn’t a way to transform it’s style to keep warm when temperatures drop... think layers. There are no rules, all that’s needed is an open mind and a little creativity… anddd, of course, a few chunky scarves, a pair of leather boots, and a big loose sweater or poncho… but every bohemian soul already knew that.
Here are a few looks we love at Love Nomadic:
...and here are some "winter bohemian" looks of our own:
"We are all wanderers on this earth. Our hearts are full of wonder, and our souls are deep with dreams." -Gypsy Proverb
So... open up your heart and mind, expand your imagination, and dive into the world of the "winter bohemian," and most importantly, be yourself, whoever that may be...
With love,
Francesca
